See Why This Couple Didn't Order the Competitor's Product

Our client, Fast Catch, received an order from a new customer. The customer (located in Nash, Oklahoma, population 204) was about to purchase a calf catcher from Safety Zone, Fast Catch's competition. The customer then saw a Fast Catch video and became interested and then placed an order with Fast Catch. (Keep reading to see how this was accomplished)

Background About Fast Catch

Fast Catch is a new manufacturer and launched their calf catcher in 2021. The inventor was attacked by a cow while working a calf. After the terrible ordeal landed him in the E.R., followed by a long recovery, the idea for a better, safer, more efficient calf catcher was born.

This calf catcher solves the problems and dangers associated with working calves. Fast Catch uses a unique raising and lowering process for their UTV-mounted calf cage. This feature results in a quiet approach and decreases the time to catch calves.

Fast Catch has a few established competitors. One of them is Safety Zone, who is a well-known competitor and provides a quality calf catcher cage for UTVs.

Business Launch of Fast Catch

Anyone who has launched a new product or business understands that you bleed cash in the early stages of a product launch or new business. Determining where you can get the best bang for your buck becomes a top priority for your business plan. You can start slow and rely on word-of-mouth marketing and referrals or you can use Internet Marketing to start driving sales immediately.

Obviously, there are all kinds of Internet Marketing, so you have to determine which methods will be most effective for your business. Through planning with Fast Catch, we determined, one of the priorities had to be showing everyone how the Fast Catch calf catcher works and why it is a good choice for working calves.

Next step, was to determine the marketing channels that would be most effective in promoting this product.

  • Website with videos featuring product and client testimonials and search engine optimization
  • YouTube channel for its additional search value
  • Facebook and Instagram Ads
  • Google and YouTube Ads

How Internet Marketing Was Used to Change the Customer's Mind

Imagine you are looking for a particular product and you have done your research. Today's the day and you're ready to buy. Because of your previous searches, a new option is presented to you and it makes you stop and look. That is what happened with Patty and Kent.

They were on their way to place an order for a Safety Zone calf catcher, when Fast Catch's video caught their eye. One short video changed their mindset. Patty and Kent probably visited Fast Catch's website to do more research. They watched the videos of Fast Catch in action, listened to some testimonials. They learned the product was made by somebody who is also a cattleman and had faced a mad momma cow. They also learned that the product is manufactured in the Midwest, in Kansas.

The biggest part of Marketing Angle's responsibility to our clients is learning about their product, business and goals. We also take the time to understand their customers, which is essential to developing a plan to target the customers in the right place at the right time.

For Fast Catch, we knew people would Google UTV calf catcher or the name of their competitors. We ensured if someone searched on the Internet for UTV calf catcher, that our client's ad, website, and videos show up. In addition, we made sure Facebook is also playing their videos for potential customers.

Every client's marketing needs are different. Not all marketing channels are relevant for every business. We can help you determine your marketing strategy and the best options for your business and budget.
